Yesterday, the black sector's performance was slightly differentiated, with the overall fluctuation range narrowing. The futures price of silicon and manganese opened lower, strengthened during the trading session, and finally closed flat. In the absence of new information to disturb the market, the focus of market attention remains on the supply and demand level. Although the current weekly output of silicon and manganese is still at a relatively low level for the same period in recent years, it has increased slightly month-on-month for three consecutive weeks. The supply side's support for prices is insufficient. On the demand side, the steel bidding is currently ongoing. Pay attention to the inquiry pricing situation. The demand for silicon and manganese from terminal steel mills and the available inventory days of silicon and manganese from steel mills are both at the lowest levels in the same period of recent years, and the demand support is limited. On the cost side, the price of manganese ore at ports slightly declined month-on-month. The price of Australian ore dropped by 1 NY/ ton to 40CNY/ ton, and the price of semi-carbonated ore from South Africa slightly decreased by 0.2CNY/ ton to 32.8CNY/ ton. The cost support was not strong. Overall, the upward drive for silicon and manganese prices has been insufficient recently. However, with prices at an absolute low level and no significant new negative factors to disturb, it is expected that the short-term trend will remain mainly characterized by low-level fluctuations.
